Shortlist for “Golden Deer Award” Unveiled
According to the information released by the organizing committee of the 15th China Changchun Film Festival on September 1, the films and judge panel members for “Golden Deer Award” had been shortlisted. Fifteen films, including My Motherland and Me and Huang Danian, were selected to compete for 10 awards. The judge panel led by director Ding Yinnan will select the winners of “Golden Deer Award”.
The categories of awards for this year’s film festival include Best Film, Jury Prize, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Original Film Score, Best Film Editing and Bets First Feature. Among the films shortlisted this year there are not only three melodic blockbusters “My Motherland and Me”, “The Capitan” and “The Climbers” that set a box office record for the weeklong National Day holiday but also well-known genre films “A Half Comedy” and “Sheep Without a Shepherd”, the ones praise the role models of the times including “Huang Danian” and “Back to Youth” and those highlighting socioeconomic development such as“The Road” and “My Himalayas”, and others featuring different styles and showing different aspects of the society including “Lost in Love”, “Spring Tide”, “My Dear Liar”, “Sword in the Smile”, “Little Q” and “Fade Away Pastoral”.
The judge panel chaired by director Ding Yinnan also include screenwriter Wang Hailin, actor Yong Mei, music producer Dong Dongdong, photographer Huang Yuetai and film critic Tan Fei.
