On July 12, the opening ceremony of the 22nd Changchun International Auto Expo and the 7th FAW Hongqi Carnival was held. Huang Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, attended the event and announced the opening, while Hu Yuting, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Governor of Jilin Province, delivered a speech.

This year's Changchun Auto Expo is held concurrently with the FAW Hongqi Carnival, featuring four vehicle exhibition halls, three special exhibition areas, two interactive experience areas, and one outdoor exhibition area. The event has attracted mainstream global automakers and well-known emerging brands. Several brand-new car models, including Hongqi's "Tiangong" series, made their debut, drawing large crowds of visitors. Huang Qiang and Hu Yuting toured the exhibition halls together and had a cordial conversation with Russian dealers attending for procurement negotiations. Huang Qiang remarked that 80 years ago, the people of the two countries fought side by side and supported each other in the World Anti-Fascist War. At this new historical starting point, he hoped to deepen cooperation with Russian enterprises to jointly explore the vast automobile market. At the booths of FAW Hongqi and Bestune, Huang Qiang and Hu Yuting learned in detail about the companies' technological innovation achievements and viewed new vehicle models. They expressed the hope that FAW Group would further align its development with Jilin's 15th Five-Year Plan, working hand in hand to expand the automobile industry cluster and support Jilin's comprehensive revitalization. At the booths of FAW-Volkswagen and Audi, Huang Qiang noted that VW AG and Jilin Province have a solid cooperative foundation. In the minds of Chinese consumers, Volkswagen and Audi symbolize high quality. He encouraged Volkswagen to allocate more R&D resources to Jilin and empower local teams to make market-oriented decisions, with the aim of fostering even more fruitful cooperation. The exhibition booths of BYD, HIMA, and Li Auto showcased a variety of eye-catching new energy vehicles and were bustling with visitors. Huang Qiang pointed out that the NEV sector is developing rapidly, and Jilin welcomes more NEV enterprises to invest and grow their businesses here. He urged enterprises to strengthen collaboration and mutual support, avoid excessive internal competition, and jointly promote industrial development and auto market prosperity. A futuristic hubless hydrogen-powered two-wheeler on display caught his eye, and he encouraged enterprises to actively explore and innovate in the field of hydrogen energy applications to better lead consumption trends. He also extended his regards to on-site security personnel, urging them to remain vigilant, uphold safety standards, and ensure the safety of the event.

In his speech, Hu Yuting highlighted that this year's Changchun Auto Expo and FAW Hongqi Carnival, themed "Leading the Future with New Quality Productive Forces", have gathered 118 well-known automakers and guests from various sectors to experience Hongqi's new style, build new bridges for cooperation, and share new industrial opportunities. He believed that this event would strongly promote the high-quality development of China's automobile industry and inject new impetus into achieving breakthroughs in Jilin's revitalization and the construction of an international automobile city. As the global automobile industry undergoes a new wave of transformation, Jilin will join hands with FAW Group to champion the revitalization of China's national auto brands. By advancing electrification, Internet connectivity, and intelligence, they aim to build a world-class advanced automotive manufacturing cluster. He hoped that FAW Group would persist in tackling key core technologies and enhancing product competitiveness and brand influence to write a new chapter of "leading the tide and striving for excellence". He also invited domestic and international automotive and parts manufacturers, research institutions, and professionals to share the opportunities brought by Jilin's revitalization, bringing high-quality projects and advanced technologies to the province to elevate its automobile industry to new heights. He called on consumers to support FAW Group so that China's national brands may step onto the global stage and earn worldwide recognition.

The opening ceremony featured a special video about the Changchun International Auto Expo. Speeches were delivered by Qiu Xiandong, Party Secretary and Chairman of FAW Group, Xu Niansha, Party Secretary and President of the Council of the China Machinery Industry Federation, and Shen Jinjun, Honorary President of the China Automobile Dealers Association.

Zhang Enhui, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, presided over the opening ceremony. Other attendees included provincial and municipal leaders Li Wei, Jin Yuhui, Wang Zhihou, Wang Zilian, and Gao Zhiguo, as well as Liu Yigong, General Manager of FAW Group, officials from relevant provincial departments and national industry associations, Japanese envoys in China, representatives from business associations of Russia, Romania, Laos, and other countries, and representatives of Russian automobile dealers and exhibitors.
