FAW’s 8000000th Truck Rolls off Production Line

A new J7 “Jiefang Intelligent Power” rolled off production line on July 13, becoming the 8000000th truck independently developed by China. Also on the same day, FAW Jiefang celebrated its 65th anniversary. 

The first car of new China was completed on July 13, 1956, marking an end to the history that no cars could be made in new China. From the first to the 8000000th in seven generations of transformation, Jiefang has witnessed the great changes of China’s automobile industry. Statistics show that 339,200 Jiefang trucks were sold in the first half of this year, up 21.92% year on year. 

Insiders say the “Customer-centered Solutions”, “Jiefang Intelligent Power”, launched at the ceremony are able to provide four options, including the green, low-carbon G with diesel/natural gas/hydrogen engine, AMT transmission, drive axle and domain controller as the core; the hybrid, low-carbon H with green, low-carbon engine, battery, hybrid transmission, drive axle and domain controller as the core; the pure electric, zero-carbon E characterized by battery, integrated electric drive bridge and domain controller; and the zero-carbon F featuring with fuel electric engine, battery, integrated electric drive bridge and domain controller. 

The core advantages of “Intelligent Power” are of high intelligence, reliability and low TCO (total cost of ownership, including the cost from product procurement to later use and maintenance). In terms of high intelligence, it can provide users with the best driving guidance, reduce the dependence on driver’s driving skills, and realize the best performance of power and the entitle vehicle through data and intelligent system interconnection. The high reliability ensures the safety of power system, the supervision on core components, and the extension of lifespan of power system. For low TCO, customized products and services can be provided. 

In the future, FAW Jiefang will realize the interactive integration of power and vehicle and with the cloud platform data through intelligent power control technology to provide value-added services such as “intelligent control”, “intelligent transmission” and “intelligent management”.
