Auto seals products project with annual output of 200 million pieces settled in Changchun Automobile Economic and Technological Development Zone
On May 11, the auto seals products project of Changchun NOK-Freudenberg Oilseal Co Ltd with a total investment of 520 million yuan was launched in Changchun International Auto City. After being completed, the project will become the leading modern sealing parts factory in China.
The NOK-Freudenberg auto seals products project is one of the key spring projects promoted by the Automobile Economic and Technological Development Zone this year, covering an area of 32,558 square meters. The project is designed to produce 200 million auto seals parts per year. It is estimated that the annual output value will reach 600 million yuan, and the tax will be 80 million yuan. The construction period of the project is 12 months, and it is expected to be completed and put into operation in April 2022.
Changchun NOK-Freudenberg Oilseal Co Ltd is an auto parts supporting company which was founded in 1992 and settled in Changchun city in the early stage. The company, an affiliate to NOK-Freudenberg (China), is a wholly foreign-owned business jointly invested by Freudenberg Group from Germany and NOK Corporation from Japan, and its products are widely used in automobile industry and general industry. In 2020, the company with 550 employees produced 120 million pieces of oil seals, realizing an output value of 380 million yuan, as well as a profit and tax of 50 million yuan. The company almost covers all the mainstream domestic automobile manufacturers in the country.
According to the head of Changchun NOK-Freudenberg Oilseal Co Ltd, the new project will build a smart factory for sealing parts with intensive land use and scientific placement according to the intelligent and humanized standards and at the same time, undertake the project transfer of parent company and efficiently integrate the existing production resources in Changchun area, so as to realize low-carbon, intensive and intelligent development and to provide high-quality sealing parts for the automobile and construction machinery industry of the whole country.
