In Changchun, there's a distinctive charm embodied by Zhongshuge; and there's a kind of petty bourgeoisie in the journey to Zhongshuge. The bookstore boasts entire walls of books, curved steel frames for passages, mirrored ceilings, lighting, etc. The scholarly and industrial punk aesthetic perfectly resonates with the labels of Changchun International Automobile City and Cultural Creative City. Here, one encounters not only books, but also the culture of a city.

In 2021, Zhongshuge chose Changchun New World Living Mall's third floor as the location for its first bookstore in Northeast China. Stepping into the bookstore is akin to entering a magical world, where minimalist black and white tones, intricate lines, various winding corridors, and spiral staircases weave together to form a fantasy space, earning the bookstore a widespread reputation for its aesthetic allure.

Zhongshuge Changchun Branch is divided into two floors, with each area showcasing meticulous and ingenious design and layout. Books fill every corner of the store, from the children's area on the first floor to the cafe on the second floor and various seats.

To facilitate reading in the store for book enthusiasts, the second floor not only features many comfortable sofas and tables but also provides sample copies for almost every book, allowing readers to sit down and enjoy a leisurely afternoon.

It is learned that the decoration styles of Zhongshuge's nationwide chain bookstores vary, as they are tailored to reflect the unique characteristics of each city. Given Changchun's history as an old industrial base, Zhongshuge Changchun Branch utilizes gears and steel frames as its primary design elements, showing an industrial style, while the flagship Zhongshuge in Shanghai integrates delicate concepts of Shanghai-style chandeliers and famous paintings, resulting in a fusion of industrial style and Shanghai style.
