The Foreign Languages Bookstore of Jilin Province, a large state-owned book retailer, joined the Xinhua Bookstore Group of Jilin Province in 2004. It was first built in 1979. Its headquarters is located at 1660, Tongzhi Street, and the branch, at 361, Chongqing Road, Changchun City, which keep open seven days a week until 20:00.

It has now developed into a large comprehensive retailer of books especially the publications in foreign languages. It is also the only bookstore of Jilin Province that is allowed to sell books imported from other countries and regions (including the ones from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan).

Compared with its counterparts in Northeast China’s three provinces, the Foreign Languages Bookstore of Jilin Province is the largest and the best one to work for. In 2000, it was awarded “Reliable Unit” by Changchun Municipal Association of Customers
