On the evening of the 3rd, the Changchun Summer Escape Arts Festival 2022 kicked off inside the Changchun World Sculpture Park.

In recent years, the entire Changchun has dedicated emphatic efforts to carry out in earnest the key instructions and spirits conveyed in the speeches of President Xi Jinping during his tour of Jilin Province, taken an active stance to implementing the philosophies of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" and "freezing cold days and snow-covered grounds are invaluable assets," committed fully to the execution of the "six-cities linkage" strategy, and promoted high-quality developments in the culture and creativity industry and cultural tourism consumption. After 15 years of accumulation, the Changchun Summer Escape Arts Festival has evolved into a major calling card, while the city's "22℃ summer" has built a stellar reputation across the country, with Changchun having been named "best summer heat escape tourism city" for consecutive years.

This edition Changchun Summer Escape Arts Festival revolves around "enjoy a cool summer, savor urban life" as its central theme, and is comprised of 146 activities divided into the five segments of cultural exhibition and performance, leisure and vacation, family research and study, sports and physical exercise, and online sales. A myriad of cultural events have been scheduled, including top-notch performances like large-scale concert by performers from the China National Opera House and Forest Music Festival, along with Citizens Reading Festival, Summer Escape Camping Festival, thematic carnival etc., so as to satisfy the full spectrum of "dining, lodging, transportation, tourism, shopping and entertainment" demands among visitors, and help speed up the recovery of the culture and creativity industry.

During the opening ceremony, the Changchun Summer Escape Arts Festival's promo video and theme song were broadcast, and recommended heat escape tourism routes and products of this year's Changchun Summer Escape Arts Festival were announced.

During the evening of the ceremony, on-site leaders and guests were joined by visitors and local citizens alike in the splendors of a large-scale concert by performers from the China National Opera House.
