The year of 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and also the “Year of Local Cooperation and Exchanges between China and Russia”. To serve the overall diplomacy of the country, strengthen the friendly and cooperative relations between Changchun and Vladivostok, Russia, and promote the friendly exchanges among the teenagers of the two cities, Changchun and Vladivostok have agreed to jointly organize the “China-Russia Youth Basketball Training Camp”.

From April 22 to 26, Vladivostok will send a youth basketball team of the Coastal Spartak Club to Changchun during which the “2019 China-Russia Youth Basketball Training Camp and China-Russia Youth Basketball Friendship Competition” will be held. According to the organizing committee, the team members of Vladivostok will compete with their counterparts from Jilin Provincial Experimental Middle School, Changchun No. 17 Middle School, Changchun No. 6 Middle School and Changchun No. 11 High School.

In addition, the basketball clubs of Jilin Provincial Experimental Middle School, Changchun No. 17 Middle School, Changchun No. 6 Middle School and Changchun No. 11 High School will sign friendly cooperation agreements with the Costal Spartak Club of Vladivostok.

The event is sponsored by the People’s Government of Changchun City, the Government of Vladivostok, co-organized by Changchun Foreign Affairs Office (CCFAO), Changchun Municipal Bureau of Education, Changchun Municipal Bureau of Sport and Changchun Municipal Association of Basketball, and jointly supported by Jilin Provincial Experimental Middle School, Changchun No.17 Middle School, Changchun No.6 Middle School and Changchun No.11 High School.
