As a key event of the 23rd Changchun International Auto Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Changchun Auto Expo), the 2026 Changchun Automobile Rally and Carnival has completed all preparations and will be held from July 17 to 19 on the west side of the Changchun Northeast Asia International Conference Center. Under the theme "Empowering New Vitality for the Auto Expo, Co-building a City of Automobile Sports," the event presents both professional automobile racing and public carnival, offering Changchun citizens an automotive cultural feast that blends speed and trends.

The event is hosted by Changchun Municipal People's Government, organized by Changchun Municipal Bureau of Sports, China Chamber of International Commerce Changchun Chamber of Commerce, and Changchun Chaoyang District People's Government, and executed by the Jilin Provincial Automobile Culture Association and Bests Race Sports Development (Jilin) Co., Ltd. Rooted in Changchun's time-honored automotive industry and culture, the event aims to build a diversified platform that integrates competitive racing, cultural experiences, industry displays, and public participation. This will help boost the city's automotive industry, promote its automobile culture, and advance the development of Changchun as a sports powerhouse.

The event has two major sections: the professional automobile racing and the public carnival, striking a balance between professional competitiveness and mass participation. The goals are to build brands through races, generate public enthusiasm through activities, and advance the industrial development via cultural activities and sports.

The professional rallycross will bring together numerous elite motorsport athletes from across the country. The race adopts a format of multiple cars starting simultaneously on a single track, with final results and rankings calculated based on track time combined with penalty time. Awards will be presented to the winners in a grand ceremony. Exclusive spectator areas at the venue will be open to the public, allowing citizens to experience the thrilling speed of professional racing up close and to further popularize motorsport culture.

The public automotive carnival will provide an immersive experience of trendy automotive culture for citizens, featuring spectacular car stunt shows, off-road vehicle displays, customized-car exhibition, food markets, and other diverse sections. Accessible to everyone and highly engaging, the event offers the public a chance to enjoy live performances, participate in hands-on activities, and feel the charm of diverse automotive culture all in one stop.

This race is not only a distinctive extended scenario of the 23rd Changchun Auto Expo, but also an important means for Changchun to promote the deep integration of the automotive industry with sports, culture, and tourism. The event will further enrich the city's cultural and sports life, boost public passion for automobile culture, stimulate automotive consumption, and inject new momentum into Changchun's establishment of a "City of Automobile Sports." Currently, all preparations are progressing steadily, and the city looks forward to welcoming its citizens to join this summer's automotive carnival.
