Hosting of the 2025 Changchun International Optoelectronic Expo: Science and Technology Achievements Release & Changchun Optoelectronic Information Industry Development Matchmaking Event
On June 11, the 2025 Changchun International Optoelectronic Expo: Science and Technology Achievements Release & Changchun Optoelectronic Information Industry Development Matchmaking Event took place. Representatives from enterprises, universities, research institutes, and financial institutions gathered with officials from relevant municipal departments, districts, and development zones to showcase cutting-edge technologies in the optoelectronic industry, promote project matchmaking and cooperation, and envision the broad prospects of developing new quality productive forces. Zhang Enhui, Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech. Also in attendance were Wang Zhihou, Director General of the Standing Committee of Changchun Municipal People's Congress, and Gao Zhiguo, Chairman of the CPPCC Changchun Municipal Committee. Mayor Wang Zilian presided over the meeting.
The event highlighted the development status and supportive policies of Changchun's optoelectronic information industry. Representatives from companies such as QLM Technology released a series of sci-tech achievements in the optoelectronic field. Changchun New Area, the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, the Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Automobile Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the Jingyue High-tech Industrial Development Zone made investment promotion presentations. Representatives from companies such as Suzhou Argo Space Technology Co., Ltd. and Changchun UP Optotech Co., Ltd. shared their insights. The event saw the signing of 12 key industrial projects.
Zhang Enhui, on behalf of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and Changchun Municipal People's Government, extended a sincere welcome to the attending guests and entrepreneurs. He said that Changchun is earnestly implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on promoting the construction of a modern metropolitan area, building a modern industrial system, and developing new quality productive forces. The city is vigorously executing the action plan for sci-tech innovation-driven development of new quality productive forces, accelerating the establishment of a modern industrial system featuring "transformation of three traditional robust industries, advancement of four strategic emerging industries, and deployment of seven future industries", and advancing the three-year action plan for the optoelectronic information industry, which has become Changchun's most research-intensive, comprehensive, promising, and fastest-growing strategic emerging sector.
Zhang Enhui noted that Changchun will spare no effort to build itself into China's Optoelectronic City by expediting the development of "six major clusters" for semiconductors and high-end manufacturing, satellite technology and applications as well as the low-altitude economy, optoelectronic materials and displays, and so on, to drive the high-quality growth of the optoelectronic information industry. In this process, Changchun will establish a more efficient collaborative innovation system, provide stronger policy support, and create a superior business environment to enable investors to start businesses and grow with confidence. He called on outstanding enterprises, entrepreneurial teams, and tech talents to keep focusing on and supporting Changchun, and join hands in exploring new tracks for industrial development to accelerate the building of a globally competitive hub for the optoelectronic information industry.
As of now, the 2025 CCIOE has facilitated the signing of 78 projects, totaling over RMB 22 billion, covering semiconductors and high-end manufacturing, automotive electronics, and other fields. Zhang Enhui emphasized that all localities and departments should closely engage with participating enterprises, carry out "one-on-one" targeted negotiations, and convert more exhibitors into investors. The city will maximize the "long-tail effect" of the expo and the role of the investment promotion platform to consolidate cooperation outcomes, tap into cooperation potential, and facilitate the transformation of more sci-tech achievements and the signing of more projects in Changchun. Efforts should be intensified to ensure projects are launched, commenced, constructed, and operationalized at the earliest opportunity, thereby injecting new momentum into industrial development. 913
