On June 9, Huang Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Hu Yuting, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Governor of Jilin Province met with distinguished guests attending the 2025 Changchun International Optoelectronic Expo • Light Conference, including Cao Jianlin, Honorary Editor-in-Chief of Light and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of CCIOE.
Huang Qiang and Hu Yuting warmly welcomed the guests. Huang remarked that the optoelectronic information industry is one of the most promising sunrise industries in the 21st century. Hosting CCIOE represents a tangible step towards thoroughly implementing the instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping in his important speeches, and it serves as a vital platform for deepening exchanges, cooperation, and integrated development with global optoelectronic information industries and technological forces. Currently, Jilin is planning and formulating its "15th Five-Year" plan and the Changchun Modern Metropolitan Circle Construction Plan. A special plan is being drafted for the optoelectronic information industry, with a focus on the integrated development of education, science and technology, talent, and industry. The province is fully committed to supporting the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to promote the deep integration of sci-tech innovation with industrial innovation. He expressed the hope that academicians, experts, and entrepreneurs would strengthen cooperation with Jilin to jointly boost technological innovation, foster industrial growth, generate outcomes, and attract talent. This will help extend, reinforce, and enhance the optoelectronic information industry chain in Jilin, achieve high-quality development, and contribute to China's self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology.
The guests unanimously recognized the solid foundation and bright prospects of Jilin's optoelectronic information industry. They stated that they would leverage CCIOE as a key platform to attract global optoelectronic resources and jointly plan cooperative projects with Jilin's universities, research institutes, and enterprises by deepening exchanges and fostering targeted collaboration, thereby accelerating technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the province.
