Attracting Over 860,000 Visitors in 10 Days, the 23rd China Changchun International Agriculture and Food Expo (Trade) Concludes with Nearly RMB 14 Billion in Contracts
The 23rd China Changchun International Agriculture and Food Expo (Trade) concluded on August 25. The 10-day event attracted more than 865,000 visitors and secured contracts worth nearly RMB 14 billion.
The event was centered around the goal of building a strong agricultural country and province, under the theme of "Technological Innovation, Green Development, Exchange and Cooperation". It featured six main sections, including "Product Exhibition and Sales, Production Demonstration, Science Popularization and Study Tours, Economic and Trade Exchanges, Forums and Conferences, and Competitive Events", along with more than 80 activities, such as production and sales matchmaking, project promotion, exchange forums, and cultural and artistic competitions.
Over 1,300 buyers and 1,500 exhibitors gathered at the Expo, and more than 6,000 new business entities and farmers came to visit and study. The event attracted 865,000 visitors in 10 days.
Furthermore, 217 companies from 20 provinces and cities, including Sichuan, Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Shanxi, exhibited 950 product categories, with delicacies like Chaoshan beef balls, Shanxi aged vinegar, and Jinhua ham gaining particular popularity. Over 180 local "Jilin-branded" companies exhibited and sold Jilin's famous agricultural products such as beef cattle, sika deer, corn, rice, ginseng, and black fungus, drawing a steady stream of buyers and visitors. During the Expo, the on-site transaction volume of various products reached approximately RMB 450 million, and the total online sales volume achieved about RMB 220 million.
The event brought together more than 1,300 agricultural supply and marketing companies, including leading domestic agricultural product wholesalers from Henan Shangqiu, and Zhejiang Liangzhu, among others, as well as key enterprises from Jilin like Eurasia Group, XTD Supermarket, and Yatai Supermarket, resulting in over 1,000 procurement intentions, with contracts worth more than RMB 2 billion.
The Entry of 100 Enterprises into Jilin & "Jilin-branded" Agricultural Product Buyer Matchmaking Event, which gathered 132 national agricultural product wholesale markets and large enterprises, and 109 local companies for negotiations and exchanges, secured 24 production and sales matchmaking and investment attraction projects, with contracts totaling nearly RMB 9.5 billion.
The special agricultural product exhibition and promotion activity featured 260 agricultural enterprises under the supply and marketing system from inside and outside the province, resulting in total sales of RMB 14.72 million and intended agreements worth RMB 1.42 billion.
At the "Jilin Goods to the Greater Bay Area" Signing Ceremony, local agricultural products, such as beef cattle, were successfully introduced to the Greater Bay Area, with contracts amounting to RMB 1 billion. At the "Jiniu - China's Beef" Investment Promotion Conference, 73 domestic and international enterprises were present, and 21 companies, including CAJA DEVELOPMENT and Changchun City Development & Agricultural Investment Group, signed strategic cooperation agreements with potential clients, covering product R&D, procurement, scientific research to tackle key problems, financing assurance, and more, reaching transaction value of approximately RMB 86 million.
Meanwhile, 43 events promoting external and provincial brands, such as the Hainan Fresh Products Promotion Conference, the 2024 "Guangxi-branded" Agricultural Products (Changchun) Promotion Conference, the Anhui Qimen Black Tea Promotion Conference, and the "Putuo Channong" Promotion Conference, which is Zhejiang's regional public brand, were successfully held, enhancing the influence of CCIAFF.
According to incomplete statistics, the total value of contracts signed at the Expo reached approximately RMB 14 billion.
Starting from August 29 (Thursday), the outdoor exhibition area of the Changchun Modern Agricultural Park will remain open until mid-October, operating daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. After the Expo, the park will operate an online platform called "CCIAFF Cloud Mall" all year round, offering online exhibitions and sales regularly, and establish an offline exhibition hall called "Jilin Agricultural Products Exhibition Center" to showcase top-quality agricultural products from all over China.
