Data on high-tech manufacturing and strategic emerging industries of Jilin province in Q1
In the first quarter of this year, the added value of the province's high-tech manufacturing industry grew 15.4 percent year on year, accounting for 12.6 percent of the total industrial output, 1.4 percentage points higher than the same period last year. The output value of strategic emerging industries increased 14.7 percent year on year, accounting for 15.7 percent of the total industrial output, 1.1 percentage points higher than the same period last year. The output of new energy vehicles jumped more than 2 times compared with the previous year, and that of wind turbines and carbon fiber rose 111.6 percent and 54.9 percent, respectively.
With continuous breakthroughs in key technologies and rapid release of production capacity, Jilin Chemical Fiber's carbon fiber sector has achieved significant growth, becoming an important manifestation of the new driving force introduced by "Jilin manufacturing".
In recent years, Jilin Chemical Fiber has promoted great synergy between industry, academia, research and application, made breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields, solved "bottleneck" problems, improved the quality of carbon fiber, and reduced the production cost. It has also kept expanding application fields, actively sought strategic cooperation with Aviation Industry Corporation of China, jointly conducted research on the widespread application of carbon fiber in the automotive lightweight field with FAW Group, and accelerated the establishment of Jilin Carbon Fiber Lightweight Industrial Park.
At present, Jilin Chemical Fiber has built the largest carbon fiber production base in China. In March, it was selected as a world-class specialized and sophisticated demonstration enterprise. In the first quarter, its total industrial output value rose 19 percent year on year to 4.84 billion yuan, making a good start this year. The output value of its carbon fiber sector increased 1.8 times, and the production of carbon fiber surged 74 percent year on year.
The new energy industry is forming a cluster by leveraging the advantages of wind and solar sources in the province.
At the beginning of the year, the Longfeng Lake hydrogen production, storage and fueling integration project in Changling went into service with an annual hydrogen production capacity of up to 8 million cubic meters, marking Songyuan city has the capacity to produce green hydrogen. Not long after, the Baicheng hydrogen production and refueling integration project of SPIC Jilin Electric Power produced the first cubic meter of green hydrogen. The green hydrogen projects in Songyuan and Baicheng has explored new paths for the province to launch demonstration projects of hydrogen production from renewable energy.
"Made in Jilin" new energy vehicles have gone global with the development of domestic automobile brands.
On February 23, 110 FAW Hongqi E-HS9 SUVs were exported to Europe by the China-Europe freight train. The E-HS9, which integrates Hongqi's high-end pure electric technology, is the main model exported to European countries. Since the first export to Europe in September 2021, thousands of the vehicles have been shipped to the international market, increasing the proportion of high-margin models from 30 percent to 60 percent. Over the past year, FAW Hongqi has successfully exploited the Dutch and Swedish markets after the Norwegian market. At present, it is taking solid steps to explore the Danish and Icelandic markets.
Jilin enterprises have achieved a leading position in the optical electromechanical and LED display technology market.
On January 31, the 120-inch 4K MiniLED TV, developed by Changchun Cedar Electronics, was unveiled at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2023. This is the world's first direct-lit LED TV independently developed by the company, which has received a lot of industry praise and overseas orders.
