According to the good news released by the CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CRV), the unveiling ceremony for the first trains made for the Los Angeles’ subway project was held at the Springfield Factory in Massachusetts eastern morning time on June 8, 2021. The trains arrived at the Springfield Factory in April this year, which are expected to leave for Los Angeles in early 2022 for on-site testing and verification, and then go operational in the third quarter of 2022. 

The main exterior colors of these trains are yellow and silver. The fastest speed is 120km/h, making it a typical fast American-style heavy-rail product. The control system adopted for the train was independently developed by CRRC. The stainless-steel welding outside the train body was completed with the international advanced laser technology, making it look smoother and more beautiful with a higher structural strength and better performance as required by the customer. CRV’s commitment to progressing in research and development has provided a rail transit solution from China for the subway project in Los Angeles.
