At the construction site of China-Brazil Cross-border E-commerce Town in Changchun Hi-tech Industry Development Zone, ten buildings with South American characteristics have been completed. The whole project is now moving forward smoothly and will be completed by the end of this year. Some stores are expected to open in May next year.

At the beginning of last year, China (Brazil) Investment and Development Trade Center, an organization at national level abroad, and Cathay Pacific Financial Holdings Co., Ltd., joined hands in this cross-border e-commerce project. It is located at the junction of Changchun Hi-tech Industry Development Zone and Chaoyang District, east to Happy City of Qianjin Street, south to Sunshine Jindian Residential Compound of Qianwei Road, west to Lambton College of Jilin University and north to Weixing Road. It is adjacent to Chaoyang District Government and Jilin University, occupying a prosperous area of the city. It covers a land area of about 21,800 square meters, and a construction area of approximately 74,000 square meters on which RMB600 million will be invested in total. The project is the first of its kind as a B2B platform in China, and the first South American cross-border cultural tourism and exhibition platform in Northeast China’s three provinces. It is also the first largest O2O experience center, the first commercial district of South American style, the first SOHO-type “office plus residence plus social life plus recreation” comprehensive residence and commercial service platform for young Mak-ers. Insiders say hundreds of businesses with thousands of products have come to sign to get settled in the town, and signed cooperation agreements with Jilin International Studies University thanks to which some graduates have signed contracts.
