Wang Kai Inspects Beef Cattle Industry of Nong’an County
Wang Kai, Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, inspected the beef cattle industry of Bajilei, Nong’an County on February 25, 2021. The effort was meant to boost relevant key projects. Wang stressed the spirit of the No. 1 Central Document should be conscientiously implemented, the support for policy convergence be strengthened, the revitalization of rural areas and the new urbanization be promoted be means of developing characteristic industries to ensure a good start for the development of agriculture of the city during “14th Five-Year Plan”.
Jilin Xinzhao Animal Husbandry Company is located in Shuangyushu Village, Bajilei Town. There are six large grasslands which are geographically superior for being far away from the residential area in the town. After inspecting the breeding base and listening to the reports of beef cattle on hand, business model and breeding technology, Wang Kai affirmed the enterprise’s initiative of promoting the large-scale development of beef cattle industry and increasing farmers’ incomes through “order-based breeding”.
The ongoing green circular beef cattle industry demonstration park is the core of the one million beef cattle project of Changchun City during the “14th Five-Year Plan”. During his inspection trip, Wang Kai visited the construction site, and learned about overall planning and construction standard to help solve difficulties, and jointly study the future business model and development direction.
After the inspection, Wang Kai listened to the opinions and suggestions of enterprises, departments and local Party committees and governments on accelerating the development of beef cattle industry, and coordinated through the meeting such work as site selection, planning and project application to promote the settlement of projects.
“Changchun has foundations and advantages in developing beef cattle industry, with Haoyue, a leading enterprise that has been engaged in the field for many years, and also grasslands, pastures and other advantaged natural resources. For the next step, we should focus on ‘raising good cattle’ to have breeding bases built first in line with green, low-carbon, eco-friendly standard while creating high-standard, modern and intelligent beef cattle breeding demonstration areas. We should focus on making leading enterprises bigger and stronger, focus on extending, supplementing and strengthening Haoyue’s upstream and downstream industrial chain, expanding productivity, scale and brand influence to promote the upgrading of beef cattle industry. We should actively explore and promote the mode ‘enterprises plus cooperatives plus farmers’, and expand collective economy, increase farmers’ incomes by developing beef cattle industry so as to make farmers truly benefit from the development of the industry. We should adhere to systematic concept, focus on cultivating and developing characteristic industries, promote effective connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, and accelerate new urbanization. Nong’an should take the lead in this regard and create a model to contribute to the city’s agricultural and rural modernization. All involved should work more on preparation to ensure all projects can be settled, started and go operational as early as expected,” said Wang Kai.
