20 plus Industrial Parks Empowers Upgrading of Changchun New Area

Entering the Beihu region of Changchun New Area, many people will be attracted by the building shaping like a Chinese character “天”, meaning “sky”, which is the Aerospace Information Industrial Park of Jilin Province, cradle of the famous “Jilin 1” Satellites. There have been 25 satellites born here that are now working in a “matrix” of remote sensing for customers at home and abroad. 

“The Aerospace Information Industrial Park is only one of the industrial parks completed by Changchun New Area during the ‘13th Five-Year Plan’ period. There are more than 20 such parks,” said an official from Changchun New Area, adding, “These industrial parks have not only become home to tens of hundreds of enterprises but also facilitated the rapid growth of hundreds of thousands of enterprises.” 

Rochiev Intelligent Manufacturing is the largest manufacturer of chemical filling automation equipment at home, with a market share of more than 90%. It has participated in the formulation of national chemical filling standards and industrial standards. Yongli Laser, a major manufacturer of CO2 laser tubes, has secured an annual production capacity of 100,000 pieces, ranking first at home….In Changchun New Area, optoelectronic and intelligent manufacturing industrial parks have become a typical representative with strong sci-tech support and sufficient endogenous power. The 24 settlers here are all hi-tech enterprises 90% of which are leading role players. Among them, three have been listed on the “new three boards”, and 18 have become the leaders in subdivided fields. By the end of 2019, the number of enterprises in the area had reached nearly 400, having initially formed domestically competitive optoelectronic and intelligent manufacturing industrial clusters. 

The China-Belarus Sci-Tech Industrial Park covers a land area of 30,000 square meters and a floor area of 39,000 square meters, which is composed of 12 single buildings. It went operational on October 28 this year, marking that a new level of cooperation between China and Belarus has been made in the field of science and technology, and the circle of friends of Changchun City has been expanded. 

The Beihu Sci-Tech Industrial Park, which is located on the opposite side of China-Belarus Sci-Tech Industrial Park, was said to have attracted the settlement of more than 500 enterprises and institutions of science and technology, entrepreneurship and innovation kinds during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, including 310 sci-tech R&D enterprises covering nearly 20 listed companies and their branches (subsidiaries), 50 national hi-tech enterprises, and more than 60 “little giant” enterprises at provincial or municipal level. The proportion of enterprises ushered in by them accounted for 30% of the total. In 2019, Beihu Sci-Tech Industrial Park made a revenue of more than RMB3 billion in total. 

As important carriers for real economy and industrial development, industrial parks have become the main battle fields to promote the high-quality development of Changchun New Area in which characteristic industrial parks and regional socioeconomic integrate and promote with each other. To make industrial park better meet the development of real economy development, Changchun New Area has been decoding in practice the high-quality development of industries.
