The construction of Changchun Tongxin Agricultural Sci-Tech Park, a rural culture and tourism project integrating planting, scientific research and accommodation, was started at the Mt. Lianhua Eco-tourism Resort on September 25, 2020. 

The project is located on Jinglian Street, Mt. Lianhua Eco-tourism Resort, with a total investment of RMB300 million. The construction area amounts to 68,000 square meters in two phases of which the planned land area of the first phase is 501,700 square meters. Based on the vegetable field of Tongxin Village, planting organic vegetables, introducing strawberry seedlings for breeding and cultivating flower seedlings are said to be started in December this year, and the products are expected to be sold in March next year. 

In addition, modern energy-saving greenhouses featuring such technologies as double-arch membrane and water thermal storage, IOT facilities covering cold chain logistics and food traceability will be built and robot-based picking will be searched and developed. In the meantime, 24 solar-term landscape sketches, exhibition halls and residential areas will be constructed to create a unique complex consisting of “one belt and nine areas” including a special sightseeing area, a farming culture exhibition area, an organic vegetable planting area, an agricultural science and technology exhibition area, a characteristic residential area, a leisure and commercial service area, a lawn wedding service area, a TCM herb planting area, an aquaculture area and a riverside landscape corridor.  

Upon completion, Changchun Tongxin Agricultural Sci-Tech Park, as one of the six major agricultural projects in Jilin Province, will become a demonstration area for modern agriculture, livable residence, rural tourism and culture and thus help facilitate the economic development of Mt. Lianhua Eco-tourism Resort.
