This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. In order to further implement the requirements of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Changchun City on optimizing in an all-round way the international business environment and better serving the foreign-funded enterprises, accelerating the construction of a modern metropolitan area, and promoting the cultural exchanges between China and Germany, the China-Germany Friendship Concert was held at the Concert Hall of Changchun Film Studio on November 11, 2019.  

The concert was sponsored by the People’s Government of Changchun City and the Consulate General of Germany in Shenyang, and organized by Changchun Foreign Affairs Office (CCFAO) and Changchun Film Studio Group.  

The concert was performed by famous German pianist Ms. Corinne Simon, who began to study piano at the age of 5, and entered the talent class of music of Berlin University of Arts when she was 12. She became a professional piano player by learning from famous professors of Berlin University of the Arts and Munich Academy of Music as well as from other piano masters of the world.  

According to Ou Shuo, Deputy Director of CCFAO, in order to celebrate the 47th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany, CCFAO started designing celebrative activities since the beginning of the year, with such tailor-made services as education for foreign kids to go to school, medical care and international driver license replacement provided one after another. The 7th China-Germany Urbanization Symposium was successfully held in Changchun City, which played an important role in the development of China-Germany relations. 

Taking this concert as an opportunity, Changchun will deepen cultural exchanges, further promote comprehensive cooperation with Germany, and thus strive to write a new chapter for the overall revitalization and all-round revitalization of the old industrial base of the city.
