To respond to the “Belt and Road” Initiative of China and ROK’s “New North Policy” and meanwhile build up a new link for the economic exchanges between Jilin Province and ROK, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) will hold a ceremony for the founding of a trade pavilion in Changchun City at 10am at Hyatt Hotel on September 25, 2019. The representatives of government officials at provincial and municipal levels, enterprises and public institutions as well as the President of KOTRA, the Consul General of ROK in Shenyang and the President of KOTRA in China were said to have been invited to the ceremony. 

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), founded in 1962, is a non-profit foreign trade and investment promotion agency affiliated to the government of ROK, which is meant to promote the economic and trade exchanges between ROK and other countries. It has so far established 129 representative offices in 84 countries and regions around the world, including 22 in such places as Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou in China. Through multi-dimensional trade information transmission, market research services and transnational investment promotions, KOTRA’s trade pavilion in Changchun City is expected to play a better role in connecting with government departments, non-governmental organizations and outstanding enterprises of Jilin Province and providing positive services for economic and trade exchanges among the enterprises between China and ROK, thereby adding greater vitality to the economic exchanges between Jilin Province and ROK.
