The 24th Changchun-Ulsan Calligraphy Art Exhibition to Open on May 28

The 24th China-ROK (Changchun-Ulsan) Calligraphy Art Exhibition, sponsored by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Changchun City and Changchun Municipal Literature and Art Association, and organized by Changchun Municipal Museum of Fine Arts, is scheduled to be officially opened at the Changchun Art Museum at 10a.m. on May 28, 2019. The organizing committee says 252 calligraphers and painters’ works highlighting creative forms and techniques as well as cultural connotations and artistic styles from Changchun and Ulsan will be exhibited during the exhibition.

This year marks the 25th anniversary for the founding of international friendship city relationship between Changchun and Ulsan. Over the past 25 years, the two sides have maintained close cooperative and friendly relations, with extensive exchanges carried out and remarkable achievements made in such fields as economy, culture, education, sport and environment.

The Changchun-Ulsan Calligraphy Art Exhibition has been held in turn by Changchun Municipal Literature and Art Association and the Fine Arts Association of Ulsan since 1995. Over the past 23 years, the event has become a role model for cultural exchanges between the two countries.

With the exhibition taken as an opportunity, the two sides will start at a new point and work hand in hand to promote the friendly relations up to a new height and thus make new contribution to the friendship and cultural exchanges among the people of the two countries.
