- Changchun Longjia International Airport
As one of the 100 key projects for the 10th Five-Year Plan of Jilin Province, Changchun Longjia International Airport is jointly invested and built by the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China and Jilin Province. Covering an area of more than 4,200 mu, the airport, 28 kilometers away from Changchun downtown area, is located at Longjia Town of Jiutai, a city at county level in the northeast of Changchun. As a hub mainly availing passengers with linkages to domestic destinations, Longjia International Airport is built under the principle of “being reasonably designed once but constructed in two phases for development on a progressive basis”. The current project is based on the predictions of air transport services for travelling 3.6 million passengers by 2013 and carrying 25,000 tons of freight every year.
The airport has now been able to avail passengers with 20 plus domestic and international linkages to such places as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo and Sendai since it was officially opened in late August, 2005,
The airport is located at the intersection of Donghu Town and Longjia Town in Jiutai of Changchun City. It is 21 kilometers and 62 kilometers away from Changchun City and Jilin City respectively.
The 4D-degree airfield enables A300 and B767 passenger planes to take off and land. Its runway is 2,800 meters long and 45 meters wide. The terminal building covers an area of 40,000 square meters. There are 8 aprons near station site and 5 far aprons. In addition, such facilities and services as navigation management, navigation, weather, communication, navigational lighting aid, fuel supply and freight are also available.
Other facilities available include store, bar, Chinese restaurant, western restaurant, bank, post office, public telephone, currency exchange station, maternal and children lounge, first class departure lounge and recreation room for irregular flight passengers. In addition, customized services are offered near the entrance to domestic and international lines, a wheelchair lift, and (close to the smoking room) a medical care center and a baggage locker station.
Shuttle bus service is offered every hour at Quan’an Square of Changchun City. It takes about 40 minutes to the airport. The last bus starts at about 90 minutes before the last flight takes off. Ticket price: RMB20 /per person.

- Bus Transportation
As a large state-owned enterprise, Changchun Bus Transportation Group has 6,822 employees and 3,200 buses, and serves 142 routes totaling 2,609 kilometers. It is now able to transport 52,404 passengers every year. Under the group, there are 23 subsidiaries undertaking the transportation tasks in downtown and suburban areas of the city.
In recent years, the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Changchun City has implemented the policy of “getting bus transportation prioritized” in an effort to upgrade route network, invest more on station facilities, put more new buses into use and improve service quality. Under such circumstances, Changchun Bus Transportation Group has adjusted operation and vehicle structures, upgraded transportation network, opened new routes, and added night buses to provide passengers hospitable, safe, convenient, clean and affordable services. The employees of the group including Cui Shusen, Jiang Guifeng, Tian Xianmin, Sun Qian and Nie Yongjun have become role models in the field. The group has obtained a list of honorary titles including National Second-grade Enterprise, National “Labor Day” Award, and Top Ten Bus Transportation Enterprises of China. To make its service a difference, the group has added new buses to the route No.306. These buses are named after Changchun’s sister cities including Ulsan, Sendai and Masterton. In addition, words and pictures are used to introduce such cities’ politics, economy, culture and geography as well as their friendly exchanges with Changchun City.
To further make its service go international, the drivers of tram No. 54 are able to announce station names in five different languages and those at four-star level or above for such routes as No. 362, No. 363, No. 62, No. 88 and No. 160 are able to announce station names in both English and mandarin.
