The integration of film and television industry and others is the future for the film town. According to Yang Zhongxun, more funds need to be put into the construction of Changchun International Film Town to build a new technology laboratory and by means of big data and artificial intelligence provide enterprises with services such as industrial data retrieval and analysis, actor analysis, and policy consultation so as to facilitate internationalization with science and technology, create characteristic brands, attract visitors from all over the world and thus promote the development of Changchun International Film Town. 

“We should make full use of 5G, cloud computing and other IT to guide the digital development of film and television enterprises,” said Yang Zhongxun, adding, “Based on the new starting point of hi-tech development, the encouragement for the R & D and application of major film and television sci-tech projects shall be continued in the next five years to usher in and cultivate a number of film and television hi-tech enterprises, form congregation effects, create industrial sci-tech highlands, and then refine the industrial chain of film and television industry. 

At the intersection of film and technology, the integration of culture and tourism industry should follow the trend. According to Yang Zhongxun, new technologies including virtual reality, augmented reality and holographic interactive projection should be used to transform local original films and stage works into cultural tourism products for immersive experience so as to demonstrate to the world the featured cultural heritage of the city. In addition, special tourism projects such as role playing in film and television shall be launched, and a “big film and television” pattern integrating tourism, science and technology promotion, and film and television making be created. 

For the construction of Changchun International Film Town, Wu Di, Deputy to Changchun Municipal People’s Congress, cares more about talent incubation, saying, “Relying on the advantages of education, relevant majors should be opened in higher learning institutions and vocational colleges to make young people a major force for the future development of film city. In addition, efforts should be made to cooperate with foreign well-known film and television colleges and universities, carry out school-enterprise cooperation, take the lead in rare majors, and adopt the latest concept of industry-integrated learning to cultivate high-quality, skilled talents for the front line.  

The introduction of talents of film and television is also very important. According to Zhang Su, Deputy to Changchun Municipal People’s Congress, more efforts should be made to usher in and train talents, speed up the congregation of high-caliber talents, and create an innovative and high-level cultivation base for talents of film and television culture, adding, “By means of master studios and special cultivation of talents of film and television culture, such professionals as excellent director, and screenwriter can be attracted, and enterprises encouraged to strengthen the construction of expert teams and enhance ingenuity and thus maintain the capacity of supplying high-quality works.”  

The “White Paper 1.0 for Film and Television Industry of Changchun International Film Town” has become a strong backup for the construction of a capital city of films. Based on this, according to Zhang Su, as the construction of the film town moves forward, more efforts shall be made to continue to increase the release of policy dividends, serve more as a “close and clean housekeeper”, optimize business environment, promote policy innovation, expand service content and strengthen entrepreneurial support to make government and enterprises work as one to promote the construction of the film town.
