The installation of newly designed reducers, the first of its kind in the field, for the first batch of A prototypes, which are integrated, compact, independently developed by the Research and Development Headquarters of FAW, was said to have been completed successfully.  

Insiders say such reducers are developed in line with the concept of platform-based development, with advanced technical indicators and broad platform expansion capacities. Equipped with “smart brains”, the reducers can function to provide auxiliary driving force for Hongqi’s top-end 4WD electric vehicles. In addition, the balance of “power supplying” and “energy saving” has been realized to meet the actual driving demand of customers, that is, fast response to power supply and silent function to save energy in static state, which in turn makes the reducers more efficient and energy-saving. 

Hongqi will soon apply such reducers to top-end 4WD electric vehicles so as to further improve the quality of its products.
