The Changchun Automobile Industry Supply Chain Development Conference was held at the FAW Hongqi Hall on November 27. Member of the Standing Committee of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Changchun Municipal Party Committee Zhang Zhijun, Mayor of Changchun Wang Zilian, General Manager of the FAW Group and the Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of FAW Group Qiu Xiandong, Jilin Province’s automotive parts industry cluster and sister cities, universities and financial institutions in Changchun, numerous auto parts enterprises and nearly 200 representatives from member units of the Changchun Auto Parts Manufacturing Chamber of Commerce participated in the conference with the objectives of accelerating the "six regressions" through practical actions, consolidating and expanding supply chain security, and promoting the high-quality development of Jilin Province’s automobile industry.

At the conference, Wang Zilian expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the conference on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government. He extended cordial greetings to all member units of the Auto Parts Chamber of Commerce, then expressed sincere appreciation to the provincial departments, sister cities, universities in Changchun, financial institutions and those from various aspects of society that have long cared about and supported the development of Changchun. Wang Zilian said that Changchun is currently focusing on implementing the "one plan and six doubles" high-quality development strategy ("one plan" refers to Changchun Economic Circle Planning, and "six doubles" are the double corridor, double belt, double line, double passage, double base and double investigation) high-quality development strategy of Jilin Province, speeding up the construction of a modern metropolitan area, deepening regional coordination, fostering complementary advantages, and striving to cultivate a trillion-yuan automobile industry cluster. He also indicated the hope that all parties present will actively participate in and extensively integrate into the development structure of Changchun, fully support FAW's establishment of a world-renowned enterprise, promote the integration of industrial chain and innovation chain, and jointly build a world-class international automobile city, and conclude 2021 on a high note.

Qiu Xiandong said that 2021 is a very challenging year for the automotive industry, and remarked that China FAW is able to continue its positive trend thanks to the genuine care of the local Party Committee and Government, the supplier partners who stood side by side with the company, and the strong assistance from relevant organizations and departments. Next, China FAW will give full play to the leading role of central enterprises, take root in Jilin and serve Changchun, unswervingly stride toward the goal of becoming a world-class auto enterprise, unwaveringly engage in the comprehensive construction of the Changchun International Automobile City, unfalteringly support the transformation and upgrade of numerous supplier partners, and unshakably build a deeply integrated system of production, education, research and usage. FAW will also work with partners from various fields to create a high-quality automotive industry chain supply chain, establish a new era of green and smart automotive industry ecosystems, and contribute to and instigate changes for the benefits of local economic and social development.

At the meeting, representatives from the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Risun Group, College of Automotive Engineering of Jilin University, Bank of Jilin and other departments and institutions, and relevant persons from Liaoyuan City delivered speeches.

Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Northeast Normal University Liu Yichun, officials in charge of provincial departments and municipal departments, and delegates of Jilin City, Liaoyuan City, Songyuan City, Siping City, Baicheng City, and Meihekou City of Jilin province attended the conference.
