The ceremony of inauguration of Hong Qi’s Fanrong Factory and delivery of E-QM5 cars was held on June 29, 2021. Jing Junhai, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, and Han Jun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Governor of Jilin Province, attended the ceremony. 

Hong Qi’s Fanrong Factory is designed with an annual productivity of 200,000 vehicles. The E-QM5 cars delivered this time are customized new-energy products developed by FAW for such projects as “Qi E-Spring City, Green Jilin”. Jing Junhai and Han Jun inspected the production lines of the general assembly workshop and the battery and electric drive workshop. Jing Junhai spoke highly of the factory’s advanced design concept and digital automation, saying, “FAW should follow the trend of electrification, networking, intellectualization and commonly shared development of the industry, further integrate advanced technologies, explore and expand the application of such new technologies as 5G and industrial Internet, promote intensive, efficient production, and crate a modern role model of the industry. All competent departments of the province should summarize and popularize Fanrong Factory’s successful experience and practice so as to improve the manufacturing level of the whole province. Changchun and Changchun Auto Industry Development Zone should speed up the cultivation and introduction of support enterprises, create a number of support projects, further improve professional services, and thus lay a solid foundation for building a world-class international automobile town.” 

On behalf of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Jilin Province, Han Jun extended his heartfelt congratulations on the inauguration of Hong Qi’s Fanrong Factory and the delivery of E-QM5 cars. “Confronted with COVID-19 impacts, typhoons and disasters of freezing rains and snows and other difficulties, FAW has been working very hard since last year and managed to make such a factory a reality from a virtual design in only 14 and a half months, thereby becoming a role model for innovative, intelligent and green factories. It is hoped that FAW will shoulder the political mission of serving the country and making the country strong with industry, adhere to the concept of lean production and quality first, seize the opportunity of ‘four automotive modernizations’, upgrade productivity, create ultimate quality, take the lead in innovation, and contribute to the revitalization of national brand. The CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Jilin Province will unswervingly support FAW’s reform and development, decisions and deployments to create a world-class enterprise, further improve the quality and efficiency of policy implementation, project support quality and service guarantee, fully support FAW to lead the new trend of automobile intelligent manufacturing at home, and thus jointly continue to write a new chapter of ‘landscape here is beyond compare’,” said Han Jun. 

Xu Liuping, Party Secretary and President of FAW, delivered a speech. Qiu Xiandong, General Manager of FAW presided over the ceremony at which FAW delivered E-QM5 cars to its first customers.
