The 8th Evening Parry“Snow in Winter and Family for All” is a special program participated in part by the foreign experts and students in Changchun. It is scheduled to be recorded live here in Changchun in mid December this year. The program is sponsored by Changchun Foreign (Overseas Chinese) Affairs Office, Changchun Jingyue Economic Development Zone, Jilin TV Station, and is supported by such units as the Foreign Affairs Sections of the local colleges and universities, Changchun New and Hi-tech Development Zone, Changchun Municipal Bureau of Education and the FAW and so on. This evening party is one of the activities to be launched during the Changchun 2009 Jingyuetan Ice & Snow Festival, and it is a special highlight to be televised to most places of the nation by Jilin Satellite TV Station during the Spring Festival period. In addition, this program will be transmitted to the America as an exchange program. The foreign friends in Changchun are showing great interest in applying for the participation, and the organizers are now under the tight schedule for the preparations.

This show is aimed at exploring the performing resources of the foreigners, making it possible for them to show their love for Changchun, their second hometown, making them know more about the city, love the city, feel the changes of the city and express their true feelings and the love for the Chinese culture, along with promoting the exchanges between Changchun and other countries around the world and strengthening the friendship between the people in Changchun and in other countries.

The evening party is to be organized on the basis of commemorating the 30th anniversary of the reform and opening-up strategy. And as for the program arrangement, high priority will be given to highlighting the folk customs of Northeast China. Taking the development of Jingyue Economic Development Zone and the Ice & Snow Festival to be held in the zone as the feature while adopting some of the western performing elements, the organizing committee will invite some foreigners, together their Chinese partners, to perform mainly in Chinese such programs as Errenzhuan, song combination, dancing and singing and so on.

Every program is said to be made short but good enough to illustrate the combination of cultures at home and abroad so that the foreigners can truly enjoy it and feel the atmosphere of Christmas and Spring Festival and the cultural charm of the Chinese traditions.
