Little Rock to hold 8th annual Main Street Food Truck festival

The city of Little Rock is preparing to hold its 8th annual food truck festival.

On September 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., over 60 food trucks will cover nine blocks of downtown Little Rock. The event was originally scheduled for Saturday but moved to Sunday due to the weather forecast, organizers said.

Visitors will be able to enjoy food, drinks, entertainment, and animal appearances (thanks to Heifer village and Urban farm) as well the chance to browse a new expanded Marketplace with a variety of vendors, craft-makers, and artists.

Arkansas State Criterium Championships, a premier cycling event known for its speed, will also be occurring near the southern end of the festival perimeter.

During the event, Main Street will be blocked off from 3rd to 8th Street and Capitol Avenue will be blocked off from Spring to Main Street.

Entrance into the festival is completely free.

In 2017, over 40,000 people attended the festival which has been named an official "Southern Travel Treasure".
