Changchun, February 16 (Changchun Daily)—The designated port for imported meat products, the first of its kind in Jilin Province, was put into use officially as the Inspection and Quarantine Certificate of Entry Goods was issued by the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Jilin Province to the first batch of imported meat products after going through customs clearance at Changchun Xinglong Bonded Area. It is the first entry goods handled at the designated inspection center of Xinglong Bonded Area after it went operational on December 23, 2016.
The 26 tons of frozen trotters imported with USD 70,000 from Germany arrived at the inspection center on January 24, and all the 15 required inspection items were proved qualified after being inspected and sampled by the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Jilin Province. With the certificate, the products can be sold to domestic customers.
Insiders say the foreign trade enterprises of Jilin Province will be able to transport meat products imported from such countries and regions as Europe, the U.S. and Australia directly from Xinglong Bonded Area to Changchun after being inspected and proved qualified to meet the demand of domestic consumers for imported quality meat products.
