Celebrate the Spring Festival, Usher in a Bright Future—The Spring Festival Concert 2019 for Foreigners in Changchun City was held at the Concert Hall of Changchun Film Studio Wednesday evening on January 16, 2019. The concert, sponsored by Changchun Municipal People’s Government and organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Changchun Municipal People’s Government, was attended by more than 600 people including the leaders of local government, the Consul General of Germany to Shenyang and the representatives of FAW-VW experts from Germany and the local citizens.

A large number of foreign friends have so far settled in Changchun City and made important contributions to the city’s economic construction and other undertakings. On the occasion of the Spring Festival, the concert was held as an effort to express Changchun’s deep regards and best wishes for the Spring Festival.

During the 90-minute show, 14 pieces of Chinese and Western melodies featuring diverse styles and splendid highlights were staged in a well-integrated form, including Peking Opera “Fight the Tiger on the Hill” with rich national music elements, and classical foreign songs “Nessun Dorma”, “Thunder and Lighting Polka” and “O'Sole Mio” which fully aroused the audiences’ enthusiasm. There was also a film-based part highlighting “Music of German Films and “Phantom of the Opera”, and others with regional characteristics such as “Old Driver”, “We Meet in Changchun”. At the end of the show, all participants stood up and responded with rounds of applauses.
