The Press Conference on Preliminary Competition (Northeast Region) of Changchun International Animation Festival 2009 & ChinaJoy Cosplay Cardinal was held Friday morning at the Ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel on April 17, 2009.
 
With a theme of “Colorful Animation, Happy Cardinal”, the event is scheduled to be held from May 28 to June 1 this year under the principle of “Making A Brand New Image for Changchun International Animation Festival, Enriching the Teenagers’ Festival Culture, Boosting Changchun’s Outstanding Animation Enterprises and Showing Animators’ Charm”. In order to popularize top-notch animation achievements, digital technologies and interactive entertainment products, 14 activities will be held, including Animation Industry Promotions, ChinaJoy Cosplay 2009 Northeast Region Preliminary Competition, Animation Industry Development Forum, Meet & Greet Animators, Trade Fair of Animation Derivatives and Teenager Stationeries, Elite Animation Exhibition, Animation Enterprise Demonstration Match, Nation-wide Selection of Flashes, Cartoon Figure Float Parade, and Elite Animated Films Week, etc.
