Changchun, July 1 (Changchun Daily)—Changchun is to raise the minimum monthly wage by RMB170, a growth of 16.29%, to RMB1, 320 from July 1, 2013. The minimum hourly wage will also rise to RMB11.5.
The wages increase at three different levels in Jilin Province. Changchun and Jilin cities are at the first level (minimum monthly wage of RMB1, 320, and minimum hourly wage of RMB11.5), followed by the cities of Songyuan, Siping, Liaoyuan, Tonghua, Baishan, Yanji, Hunchun and Qianguo (RMB1, 220 and RMB10.5) at the second level, and by the cities of Baicheng, the administrative committee of Changbai Mountain and other counties (cities) (RMB1, 120 and RMB9.5) at the third level.
Since 2010, employees’ wages have been increased for four consecutive years in Jilin Province. From May 1, 2010, the minimum monthly wage was increased to RMB820 from RMB650, a growth of 22.6% at the first level; from May 1, 2011, to RMB1, 000 from RMB820, a growth of 21.9%; and from October 1, 2012, to RMB1, 150 from RMB1, 000, a growth of 16.04% respectively.
